Squadron Commanders message for December 2007.

 

After several meetings with the Arvada club and Past President Jim Shaw , It has been decided to change several of our proposed plans for 2008.

 

1.     We have decided to have only one scheduled meeting per quarter. The club is just getting started again and we need some room to operate and to see how many members participate in our monthly meetings...

2.     The cost of gasoline continues to rise.

3.     The distance members must travel from through out the Denver Metropolitan area to our new field.

4.     We have canceled the proposed Regional Fly-in this year sponsored by the Arvada club. Maybe 2009?

5.     Instead we will have a joint function with the FULL SCALE MEMBERS OF EVERITT FIELD. They are planning an open house party some time in either June or July. We will put on flying demonstrations and let them look at our giant scale airplanes. This will be an excellent way for them to know us and for us to know them.

6.     This change to our proposed club schedule doe not mean that individual Dawn Patrol Members are precluded from going to other schedule events put on by other clubs. They may still represent the Colorado Dawn Patrol . We just won’t be going as a complete club.
